The building also includes a warming kitchen and a speed line to quickly serve food to the students. ACEE worked closely with the Architect and Milpitas district on the district standards and the usage of the building. The overall construction for this project was smooth with less than 10 RFIs.

Working with the school’s architects, Modus was able to construct a gymnasium that was true to Parras Middle School’s singular vision for an elite, multi-purpose athletic facility.
Of all the modular builders Parras could have chosen for their dream project, Modus, the brand that has ‘redefined modular’, was the clear choice for their unique ability to configure a custom floor plan consistent with the school’s innovative concept.
At the center of this sparkling new facility is an 11,000 square foot gym, with its own March Madness tournament, and ‘game on’ all year long. In an attached fitness center, students move through circuits that include weight stacks, dumbbells, a rotating rock wall, boxing, cardio machines, functional training with medicine balls and balance equipment.

This was the challenge faced by the Redondo Beach Unified School District as they sought to have a new multi-purpose facility designed and built for Adams Middle School. Yes, they wanted a gymnasium with all of the usual bells and whistles. But beyond that, they wanted an inspired, multi-purpose design, which in the words of Adams Middle School, would provide students with “a meaningful recreational experience regardless of ability, inability or disability”.
Nothing less would do. And that’s why for this very challenging project, the Redondo Beach Unified School District chose Modus Systems, the brand that has Redefined Modular ™.
Today, the multi-purpose gymnasium Modus designed and built for Adams Middle School has immersed the entire student body in a wide range of indoor sporting activities and other recreational interests.
Full court basketball, volleyball, badminton and intramural sports are all in full swing before, between, and after classes. Add to that the ability to stage school functions, such as assemblies and theatrical productions, and it’s no surprise that this proud new facility has become the hub of the Adams Middle School campus.
